Imagine my surprise.

I haven't walked into J.Crew since high school. For me, it evokes memories of henleys, khakis, and keeping up with the Joneses...of the private school kind.

11 years later, and SO much has changed. My girlfriend wanted a sweater and dragged me in, and I was shocked. Maybe my tastes have changed with age, but this was not my high school J. Crew. Cute dresses, shoes, bags, jewelry... I wanted to buy everything in the store.

The merchandising displays were more "front row fashion week" and less "I'm attending Harvard in the fall". More importantly, I would've worn almost anything in there.
