Location: Gotham Hall.
Celebs spotted: Designer John Bartlett, Jill Hennessy.
The Collection: Cynthia stayed true to her girly aesthetic with floral prints and classic, feminine silhouettes, with just a hint of sinister. There were bow details, and models sported retro shades, reminiscent of a 1950's Barbie. The dark side was subtle, evident only through sheer fabrics, slashed pants, and intentionally unraveled hems.
Hair: Bok-Hee Meixner/Redken [Hair was pulled into a messy ponytail "as if the model did it herself," and was contrasted with a super-structured front. Using a sponge cushion, she rolled the front section of the hair into a C-shaped side bang.]

The Takeaway: Very classic Rowley, while still being fun and new. More impressive than the collection if possible, was the venue. The mysterious, gothic feel of the location mixed with fairytale-ish music and dramatic, draped white fabric on the runway set a dreamlike stage. I've heard descriptions such as "Cinderella-like" and "Tim Burton-esque", both of which are spot-on.
