Lela Rose Spring 2010.

Who/What/Why:Lela Rose Spring 2010 Collection.

Location: Bryant Park Tents, Salon.

Celebs spotted: Mariska Hargitay.

The Collection: Basics with feminine, classic feel. Dresses and separates done in nautical strips, abstract prints, color blocking, tie dye, deep jewel tones, and one of my favorite color combos-- navy with chartreuse (love). Silk, shantung, satin, tweed.

Hair: Ted Gibson [Gibson said the hairstyle was inspired by "water and waves" and "a day in St. Barts". Gibson applied Build It Blow Drying Spray at the scalp for volume, and also to random sections of hair that he then twisted and dried to achieve the desired rough texture. Hair was then pulled back into tousled ponytails.]

Makeup: Sarah Lucero/Stila [Skin was evened out with tinted moisturizer; Pomegranate Crush Lip Stain was used as blush. On the eyes, Camelia Convertible Color, Fandango duo shadow (a lime/brown duo), and Cobalt Smudge Pot, topped off with multiple coats of Stila Major Lash. Lips were coated with Camelia Convertible Color.]

The Takeaway: LOVED the deep peacock-ish shades mixed with lime used in alot of the looks...almost like a palette of sea glass. Beautiful. Then again, I'm partial because these are my best colors. Score one for Lela. And PS-- get more of those cobalt booties out to Payless stores...supply and demand, sweetheart. They're fab, they're chic, and they're GONE. Let's work on that. ;)
