Ports 1961 Spring 2010.

Who/What/Why: Tia Cibani's heavily asian inspired collection for Ports 1961 Spring 2010.

Location: Bryant Park Tents, Tent

Celebs spotted: Ivanka Trump, Tiffani Thiessen, and Olivia Palermo.

The Collection: The line was heavily Japanese influenced, done in pastels and varying shades of white. Most of the fabrics were solids (lames and silks), with a few dresses done in an print painted by Ritsuko Hirai. There were hints of eastern influence in every look, including obi-belt details, kimono silhouettes, and splashes of red.

Hair: Aveda Advanced Academy [Slicked back in front, poufed up at the crown, and neatly folded under in back.]

Makeup: MAC PRO Team/Romero Jennings [Studio Sculpt foundation and Mineralize Skin Finish were used on the face to create a dewy, luminous look that reflected light. Lips were done in foundation-y shades, Mint and Blankety. White Pencil was applied to the corners of eyes, and Reflex Rust LIPSTICK (a metallic salmon color) was actually applied to the eye area and carried out toward the temple.

The Takeaway: Overall, I liked it. Tia Cibani may have put on one of the best shows of the season with Ports 1961. And I'm really glad I got to see it, since I wasn't on the invite list for this one, but got in anyway (ah, the tricks and magic of Fashion Week.)
