Take a picture, it'll last longer.

How awesome is this?

Philippe Roucou's 'Objets Trouves' range of scarves are 100% silk and are each printed with a different polaroid picture. Some have have said that you lose the effect when wearing it scrunched up as a scarf, but I think that it adds to the appeal.... sort of like a cool secret that no one's in on but you. You can run around the city looking chic and no one is the wiser. Totally cute.

Shirt? What shirt?

All I need are some of these, and an array of tank tops. A shirt can't top this anyway.

More after the jump...

Tom Ford gives good lip.

Tom Ford is adding color to his growing empire with the launch of Private Blend Lip Color, which includes 12 colors intended to serve as a bold punctuation to a woman’s look. As Ford insists, there is “no more dramatic accessory than a perfect lip.”

“This is my take on 12 classic lip colors,” Ford told WWD. “I took the most universally flattering colors that a woman can wear, and then I reimagined them in a modern and authoritative way. These are signature lip colors for the makeup connoisseur.”

The lipstick formula includes soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil, intended to offer a creamy texture and easy application. Intense, treated color pigments are meant to help keep color true.

Each lipstick bullet will be accented by the TF initial carved into the top, and housed in an ivory case with gold accents.

The Private Blend Lip Color Collection will be available in April in Europe, and on June 1 in the U.S., retailing for $45.

Me, I'm just excited to see the ad campaign. If it's anything like the fragrance ads, it's going on my wall. Fashion Ad Campaigns: a fashionista's Tiger Beat!

The REAL heart of the ocean.

In Nektar de Satgni's new "Snakes and Pearls" collection, the designer uses uses bits of coral, as well pyrite, sea sand, sterling silver, natural pearl, smokey crystals, and bone to gives each piece a gritty, organic feel and briney texture.

This one is my fave... it looks like a mermaid's engagement ring, or something discovered during a deep-sea dive.

STOPPPPPPP THE PRESSES-- Km Rii bags are back at Oak?!?!?

Hold on, I'm hyperventilating...

Ok. Km Rii bags... how do I explain this... are AMAZING bags. They are also notoriously hard to find, and almost always sold out. I've been stalking Oak for almost a year waiting for them to get more. The day has come!

The torpedo rhino bag ($724)is the messenger style, the la-rhino bag ($724) is more of a hobo style, and the giger ($634) takes the form of a satchel.

I can't tell you how happy I am that I haven't yet taken the tags off of my new Marc bag. Going back! Km Rii, you're so close I can smell you!!

Next week I'll be a lousy liar...

Viktor & Rolf Fall/Winter 2010

Ok, so by now you've probably heard the buzz, so here's the vid if you haven't seen it.

The Viktor & Rolf Fall 2010 runway show was entitled ‘Glamour Factory,” and the show opened with model Kristen McMenamy dressed in TWENTY THREE layers. The designers then undressed Kristen piece by piece and put the garments on other models until Kristen was completely undressed. They then reversed the process and redressed her until she was back to her original 23 layers.

I seriously need to start covering Paris fashion week. The shows there eat the New York shows alive. It's like an energy shot after a loooong nap.

Tom Ford gives good fashion.

Lest we forget that Tom Ford's eyewear campaigns are always GORGEOUS, the designer's latest does not disappoint...and features some enviable eyeliner to boot.

Two more images after the break.

Gwen Stefani X Instyle April

I rarely get excited about celebs doing covers and editorials anymore, but you all know how gaga I am for Gwen, and this spread is amazing. She looks better than she did 10 years ago.

But enough modeling, and more recording. I'm still waiting on the new No Doubt album!

Living dead girl

I'm having such a goth moment lately. I've mentioned before that I'm currently doing a more rockish vibe, and this shrug would be perfect considering that its been so warm here lately. I'll soon have to retire my leathers. Cry!

Maison Martin Margiela @ net-a-porter

Snooze, meet lose.

So these earrings are all sorts of awesome. Too bad they're gone. Sadface.

Titanic Fall/Winter 2010

Just in case anybody is living under a rock, models at Chanel's Paris show sloshed the runway, navigating an ICEBERG. An ACTUAL ICEBERG, specially transported from Scandinavia. And Baptiste, in a BEAR suit.

Oh Karl, you crazy queen.

I'm almost impressed, but too busy crying over the samples killed in the process.

RIP, pretty clothes.

Fringe Shoe? Oh yes.

Remember how I felt about studs last season? Um.. yea. That's pretty much how I'm starting to feel about fringe for Spring. Here's to hoping that I can find a blance between haute and crazy hippie before it's too late.

Balk if you will, but as for the this shoe? You know you're curious...

Erro Fall/Winter 2010

I pretty much need every single thing pictured here. Has more of a dream wardrobe ever been created?

I can't possibly wait until next fall to wear this. Fur hat and thigh boots in the spring: Who says I can't? You know, besides the sweltering sun.

2010 Academy Awards WTF? Gabourey Sidibe in Marchesa

Look, I'm just gonna say it: WHY IS EVERYONE RAVING? She looks sloppy. Why are you all falling over yourselves?

Listen, I appreciate the "Hollywood fairytale" storyline, and I don't mind her size, and I quite enjoy her... but let's call a spade a spade. I let her sloppiness slide at the last event, I mean, even Oprah can't control the rain. But this Marchesa dress? Not their best. her face looks greasy. And the hair is shining like a cheap plastic weave. You know what I'm talking about... when the synthetic weave reflects light and looks like Barbie hair?

Where are Cher and Dionne when you need them? "I do NOT wear polyester hair!"

2010 Academy Awards hair trend: Caught in a windstorm

Seriously, I'm all for the organic, just-threw-it-up-i'm-so-low-maintenance 'do, but many a flawless face and killer gown was destroyed last night by messy hair.

Intentionally-messy only works if still calculated. These styles just look crazy.

2010 Academy Awards WTF? Sandra Bullock

I want to know WTF was in Sandy's hair.... because it was GORGEOUS. It shined like the effing sun, and I need to know why.

Moroccan oil? Shine spray? Mayonnaise? Motor Oil? What?!

2010 Academy Awards Best Dressed of the Night...

I DGAS HOW much botox girlfriend has in that face, she's still hotter than you. Stop hating... I'd pay DOUBLE to be that hot at her age!

2010 Academy Awards Best Dressed Picks

SJP in Chanel Haute Couture, Demi in Atelier Versace, Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries van Noten, and Diane Kruger in Chanel.

I'm regarded for my off-kilter picks, so I know you weren't expecting me to go with the grain! Child, come onnnn.

Do you agree? Disagree?

2010 Academy Awards "FIX UR FACE" AWARD- Kristin Stewart

Strike 4, Strike 5, Strike.... get the point?

Seriously, I challenge you to find a picture from tonight where she doesn't look stoned or bored.

2010 Academy Awards Best Hair & Makeup

You decide.

2010 Academy Awards: "SHUT IT DOWN" AWARD- SJP in Chanel Haute Couture

The front of her hair might have looked a mess on stage, but the back was gorg, and she WAS NOT PLAYING in this dress:

Fashion SUPERSTAR. Recognize.

2010 Academy Awards trend: Midnight blue

Everyone is blogging the pinks and purples, I was enraptured by the dark blues.

Guilliana Rancic in Pamella Roland, Mariska Hargitay in Vera Wang, Kristin Stewart looking bored in Monique Lhuillier.

2010 Academy Awards WTF? Nicole Richie in Reem Acra

Umm..what is with that makeup? It reminds me of chola mall makeup, or how I used to do my makeup before I learned how to blend...when I was like 13.

BTW... what the hell was she doing there? No, seriously.

2010 Academy Awards: Love it or hate it? Vera Farmiga in Marchesa

The dress, IMO, is FIERCE... maybe better suited for someone with more presence. The hair and makeup? Flawless. One of my fave beauty looks of the night.

2010 Academy Awards WTF? Carey Mulligan in Prada

I can't. I don't see the appeal. Little boy in an ugly dress. Earrings are wrong. Ankle straps are wrong. Smug face is wrong.

DOES. NOT. LIKE.

2010 Academy Awards Fave of the Night: Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries Van Noten

I'm going to get so much shit for this, but I always love Maggie's unexpected picks. Given a rack of tonight's Oscar gowns to choose from for myself, this is the dress I'd wear.

I would've went with different makeup, and maybe different hair, but this dress is it for me. Deal with it.

2010 Academy Awards: Love it or hate it? Diane Kruger in Chanel

Those of you slamming this, didn't GET it. This is couture, babies. Write that down.

2010 Academy Awards WTF? Amanda Seyfried in a wedding dress, err, Armani Prive

Psst, Amanda. It's not your wedding day, it's only the Oscars.

PS - Got you a juicer. Is it time for cake?

2010 Academy Awards: And the consistently boring award goes to...

Le snore in Elie Saab. ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZ.

2010 Academy Awards: Love it or hate it? Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham

Bustier? Check. Ballgown skirt? Check. Top of dress appropriate for a teenager? DOH, I KNEW I FORGOT SOMETHING!

2010 Academy Awards WTF? Zoe Saldana in Givenchy

DOES.NOT.COMPREHEND. Did she steal the top of Miley's dress? So confused.

2010 Academy Awards: Love it or hate it? Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab

Ahh! I can't decide! Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............

Sorry boo.

2010 Academy Awards WTF? Charlize Theron in Dior Couture

Charlize, baby, sweetie, HONEY... fire your stylist. Or get one. Whichever.

You look like a couture ad for Cinnabon. Breast Cross Buns are NOT a good look.

Faut souffrir pour etre belle.

I absolutely love this photo backstage Givenchy Haute Couture. So glam, yet such emptiness in the child's eyes, non? Très poignant; also a pretty accurate summation of show season.

More here. GORG.

Speaking of Pugh...

THESE were the effing nails at the show:

I CAN'T.

Here's the "day" version...

Gareth Pugh Fall/Winter 2010

I seriously can't with Gareth Pugh.

I've been having a serious tough chic moment lately...been rocking my Vera riding boots, moto jacket, and Andrew Marc Jet bag like every day-- so I've been sitting here salivating for the past 20 minutes. I just can't wrap my head around something so amazing, it physically hurts.

My favorite looks after the jump...

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Step on a crack, break your mother's, err, back?

SERIOUSLY?!?!?! Cannot deal. I CANNOT DEAL!

Dsquared² vertebrae heels, KILLIN it.

EXCLUSIVE: What's better than Gaga? TWO Gagas.

Meet Jacque Faustino. She's just your typical fashion and music loving 20-something. And oh yeah...she just happens to look eerily similar to a certain pop superstar.

I'm not the only one who thinks so. Jacque has been mistaken for Gaga more than once, including at Gaga's OWN concert: "NYE in Miami I dressed as Gaga to her concert. It was all fun at first and at the end of the show everyone thought I was her! I actually had a security guard in a suit and walkie talkie hold my hand to lead me out of the crowd!"

The resemblance is so uncanny, Jacque has industry insiders clamoring to work with her. A few short weeks after the concert incident, she met visual artist/photographer Robert Hayman, who asked her to photo test dressed as the pop star. That shoot went so well that he asked her to star in his video homage to the singer. (See "Teeth" below.)

Jacque is working toward a career in styling, but says she is having fun modeling and won't rule out a gig impersonating the infamous Lady: "I want to see where this takes me, I want to try everything I possibly can. Actually working with Gaga and meeting her would be amazing."

Jacque's twitter.
